HSU Persistence Rate Increases

HSU is pleased to announce the final persistence rate for our Fall 2024 first-time freshmen cohort: 88.5%, up 2.7% from 2023. As President Bruntmyer stated, this success is due to the resilience of HSU students, the dedication of faculty and staff, and the university’s commitment to excellence in education guided by Christian faith and values.

College of Health Professions Launches New Online Doctor of Medical Science Degree

Hardin-Simmons University College of Health Professions recently launched a new online degree program to better serve professionals in the ever-changing health industry. The Doctor of Medical Science degree is a 30-hour degree entirely online, allowing working physician assistants/associates to manage work-life balance while furthering their education.

HSU Elevates Logsdon School of Theology to Its Own College

Hardin-Simmons University has elevated the Logsdon School of Theology to its own distinct college, allowing for a stronger focus on ministry education, deeper connections with churches, and a continued emphasis on HSU’s Baptist heritage. The Logsdon School of Theology will transition from the Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts to become its own college effective June 1, 2025.

Getting the Most Out of Your Scholarship Application: Tips for Success

Scholarship Universe is an online tool HSU uses to match students with endowed scholarships based on their academic background, financial need, and other eligibility factors. Once admitted to HSU, students can access the platform and answer a set of matching questions, which allows the system to connect them with applicable scholarships.
